TONIGHT’S TV GUIDE: January 6th 2017

Pick of the Day

Lip Sync Battle UK, Channel 5, 10pm

If you’re wondering why this has earned the coveted spot of pick of the day, all you need to know is that it features Craig Revel Horwood dressed as Britney Spears and Danny Dyer dressed as Amy Winehouse. Enough said.

The Strictly Come Dancing judge and Eastenders star are going head-to-head as Lip Sync Battle UK returns for a second series, as celebrities mime and act out famous songs and routines. Presented by Mel B and Professor Green, the prize is the much-sought after Lip Sync Battle UK Championship.

After all his years judging on Strictly, let’s hope Craig’s routine isn’t a lip-syncing disaaaaaster darling!

The Sporty Choice

FA Cup Live – West Ham United v Manchester City, BBC One, 7.30pm

The FA Cup returns to our screens as the big boys enter at the third round stage. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City travel to the London Stadium to take on Slaven Bilic’s West Ham.

City have been suffering indifferent form of late, with a New Year’s Eve defeat to Liverpool dealing a blow to their title aspirations. West Ham continue to struggle with their new home at the Olympic Stadium, and will hope the cup can provide relief from their patchy league form.

Both sides will hope this is the first step to a date at Wembley in May, and the chance to lift the trophy won by Manchester United last season.
